Theatrical release: ‘Monster’

Picturehouse Entertainment are bringing the 2023 Japanese drama ‘Monster’ (怪物) to UK and Irish cinemas on March 15, 2023.

Directed by Hirokazu Koreeda, the film revolves around a mother who confronts a teacher after she begins to notice disturbing changes in her son’s behaviour. The cast includes Sakura Ando, Eita Nagayama, Soya Kurokawa, Hinata Hiiragi, Mitsuki Takahata, and Akihiro Kakuta.

Synopsis: When her young son Minato starts to behave strangely, his mother feels that there is something wrong. Discovering that a teacher is responsible, she storms into the school demanding to know what’s going on. But as the story unfolds through the eyes of mother, teacher and child, the truth gradually emerges.
