‘The Whistleblower’ (吹哨人) is a 2019 Chinese-Australian thriller written and directed by Xue Xiaolu.
The film follows a Chinese expatriate working for an Australian mining company who stumbles upon a conspiracy to cover up a serious health risk posed by their latest technology. The cast includes Lei Jiayin, Tang Wei, Xi Qi, John Batchelor, and Wang Ce.
Synopsis: Following a fatal accident, a Chinese expatriate working for a mining company in Australia discovers that new technology developed by the company may be a health risk, and investigates a web of conspiracies in his search for the truth.
