‘A Whisker Away’ (泣きたい私は猫をかぶる) is a 2020 Japanese animated fantasy romance directed by Junichi Sato and Tomotaka Shibayama.
The film follows a girl who falls in love with a boy from her school, and transforms into a cat to get close to him. The voice cast includes Mirai Shida, Natsuki Hanae, Hiroaki Ogi, Koichi Yamadera, Ayako Kawasumi, and Daisuke Namikawa.
Synopsis: Miyo Sasaki in love with her classmate Kento Hinode and tries repeatedly to get Kento’s attention by transform into a cat, but at some point, the boundary between herself and the cat becomes ambiguous.
‘A Whisker Away’ will be released on Netflix on June 18, 2020.
