Trailer: ‘Break Through’

‘Break Through’ (大突围 / Big Break) is a 2024 Chinese historical action war drama co-written and directed by Yang Zhen.

The film revolves around a young man who is exposed to the horrors of war at an early age and goes on to become a fierce soldier. The cast includes Ren Tianye, Ao Ziyi, Aimee, Wang Jinsong, Yuan Shanshan, and Huang Xiaolei.

Synopsis: Su Fan (Ao Ziyi), a 17-year-old student at the first branch of the Anti-Japanese University of China, has travelled a long way from Longyan, Fujian Province to report for duty at the school’s compound in the hinterland of the Yimeng Mountains. On the second day of his arrival, he encounters a sweeping raid by tens of thousands of Japanese soldiers, and through the baptism of the siege, Su Fan grows up to be a real warrior.
