‘The Last Dance’ (破·地獄) is a 2024 Hong Kong drama written and directed by Anselm Chan.

The film follows a wedding planner who enters the funeral industry to work with a traditional Taoist priest, seeking to understand the meaning of life and death through funeral rituals. The cast includes Dayo Wong, Michael Hui, Michelle Wai, Catherine Chow, Paul Chun Pui, and Tommy Chu.

Synopsis: Wedding planner Dominic Ngai (Dayo Wong) is forced to become a funeral broker after he runs up a huge debt due to the recession in the wedding market. Red and white are very different, and Dominic seems to hit a wall everywhere, but the most difficult part is getting the approval of Master Man Kwok (Michael Hui). Initially, their relationship is in jeopardy due to their conflicting philosophies. However, after seeing him at work during times of crisis and the relationship between Man and his daughter, Wen Yue (Michelle Wai), Dominic warms to Man and the pair slowly unravel the knot between them. ‘The Last Dance’ opened across Hong Kong last month, and will hit Chinese cinemas on December 14, 2024.
