‘The Red Boat’ (红船) is a 2021 Chinese historical drama directed by Shen Dong and Wang Deqing.
The film presents the birth of the CPC from the perspective of the first group of Chinese communists. The cast includes Hou Jingjian, Chen Duling, Wang Zhifei, Zhang Tong, Yu Shaoqun, and Tang Guoqiang.
Synopsis: A red boat quietly set sail, piercing through the fog, through a century of loneliness, to bring about change to one country. Driven by the words of Mao Zedong, the group of travellers explored new paths and ideas, and together they finally founded the Chinese Communist Party. [© Far East Films]
