Well Go USA bringing Derek Yee’s ‘Sword Master’ to the US

By   |  Nov 30, 2016

Derek Yee’s ‘Sword Master’ will receive a limited US theatrical release in December, courtesy of Well Go USA. Touted as a remake of Chor Yuen’s ‘Death Duel‘ (which in turn was adapted from a Gu Long novel), the film tells the story of an elite swordsman who is haunted by his skill, and a challenger who aims to take his place at all costs. The cast includes Kenny Lin, Peter Ho, Jiang Yi-Yan, and Jiang Meng-Jie.

Synopsis: “A powerful swordsman is haunted by the destructive impact his deadly talents have on others. Weary of the bloodshed and violence from the martial arts world, he banishes himself to the humble life a vagrant, wandering the fringes of society. But his violent past refuses to let him go quietly. The master swordsman must regain the ability to wield his sword and fight those disrupting the peace he so desperately craves.”

‘Sword Master’ opens across the US on December 9, 2016.
