Teaser: ‘Mantis’

‘Mantis’ (사마귀) is a 2025 South Korean action thriller co-written and directed by Lee Tae-Seong.

The film, which is a spin-off set in the same universe as 2023’s ‘Kill Boksoon’, follows an elite assassin vying with a rival and a retired legend to become the top killer. The cast includes Yim Si-Wan, Park Gyu-Young, Jo Woo-Jin, Jeon Do-Yeon, and Yoo Su-Bin.

Synopsis: Hanul, a top-tier assassin from MK Entertainment, returns from a long hiatus to find the contract-killing industry’s rules in chaos and the organisation shaken by the death of its leader, Min-gyu Cha. Entangled with his former training partner and rival, Jae-yi, and a retired legendary assassin, Dokgo, Hanul competes for the title of the industry’s top killer, expanding the legacy of the elusive “Mantis,” once only a whispered name, into a central figure.
