‘The Endless Inquiry’ (不该停止的追问) is a 2025 Chinese crime drama directed by Nian Shiya.
The film follows a woman who investigates her sister’s suspicious death, only to become the prey in a deadly game of deceit and revenge. The cast includes Chai Wei, Liu Xun, Zheng Xiaoning, Wang Ning, Li Meng, and Chen Bing.
Synopsis: After her sister Wang Yao dies in a mysterious suicide, leaving behind a young daughter and a body covered in old wounds, Wang Jingjing is stunned to learn that her brother-in-law brandishes a paternity test claiming the child isn’t his. Determined to uncover the truth, Jingjing infiltrates the prestigious company where her sister once worked. Believing she’s hunting for answers, she slowly realises she has become the prey. When the real mastermind finally emerges, she fights back with everything she has, launching a quiet but fierce counterattack fueled by courage and wit. [© Far East Films]
