‘Concrete Market’ (콘크리트 마켓) is a 2025 South Korean post-disaster survival drama directed by Hong Ki-Won.
The film depicts a post-earthquake barter market whose fragile order unravels when an outsider’s discovery triggers a struggle for control. The cast includes Lee Jae-In, Hong Kyung, Jeong Man-Sik, Yoo Su-Bin, and Kim Guk-Hee.
Synopsis: After a massive earthquake leaves one apartment tower standing, the survivors turn it into Hwanggung Market, a barter economy where canned food is currency and power determines who eats. Hee-ro slips inside to steal supplies but uncovers a secret about the market’s ruling merchant chief. She teams with his enforcer, Tae-jin, proposing a plan that could upend the hierarchy.
