‘Dog Tashi’ (月光里的男孩) is a 2026 Chinese drama written and directed by Dargye Tenzin.
The film follows a writer whose return to his childhood homeland forces him to confront a long-buried memory and its enduring emotional weight. The cast includes Jigme Gyatso, Gendun, Gama Jigme, Xiran Rinjie, Gama Wenjia, Wenxiu Qiuzhen, and Nima Songsong.
Synopsis: A writer returns to his childhood homeland on the Tibetan plateau, compelled by an unresolved memory that has quietly shaped his adult life. As he moves through familiar landscapes and encounters people from his past, fragments of a formative childhood incident—marked by fear, misunderstanding, and guilt—begin to resurface. Shifting between past and present, the narrative follows his gradual confrontation with memory and conscience, suggesting that coming of age is an ongoing process of reckoning with what one has carried forward.
