Gordon Liu Suffers Stroke And Left Disabled

We recently reported that martial arts movie star Gordon Liu had been hospitalised with a head injury. Sadly, it has now come to light that the cause of the accident was in fact a stroke, which has left the 56-year-old with severe immobility in his right hand and leg, as well as speech impairment.

The original incident occured while Gordon was participating in a band practice in To Kwa Wan in early August. The official press releases stated that he had hit his head and that he would be taking a break from all of his work. In the latest issue of Next Magazine, it was clarified that on that day, Gordon had actually suffered a stroke, causing him to fall down. His head crashed into a nearby stairway, resulting in a 5-inch wound on the left side of his head. He was sent immediately to the hospital for treatment.

Gordon will require long-term physical therapy and rehabilitation treatment. All of us here at Far East Films would like to wish him a full and speedy recovery.
