Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘A Thousand and One Nights’ / ‘Cleopatra’

Third Window Films are bringing two rare Osamu Tezuka animations – ‘A Thousand and One Nights’ and ‘Cleopatra’ –  to Blu-ray and DVD on June 18, 2018.

Produced in the late 1960s as part of a short-lived series entitled Animerama, the films were aimed at an adult audience and explore erotic themes using modern design, limited animation, and still paintings. The voice casts include Yukio Aoshima, Kyoko Kishida, Hiroshi Akutagawa, Chinatsu Nakayama, Hajime Hana, and Osami Nabe.

A Thousand and One Nights
The incredible adventures of Aladdin as he travels through the Middle East in search of love, fortune, and power.

Cleopatra
In order to foil the enemy aliens’ “Cleopatra Plan”, three people from the future are spiritually sent back to Cleopatra’s time to understand the enemy intentions.
