Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘Life Must Go On’

Vicol Entertainment are bringing the 2022 Hong Kong sports drama ‘Life Must Go On’ (深宵閃避球) to Hong Kong Blu-ray and DVD on June 29, 2023.

Co-written and directed by Ying Chi-Wen, the film revolves around a social worker who puts together a dodgeball team to save her “Midnight Gymnasium” program for wayward teens. The cast includes Ekin Cheng, Catherine Chau, Gladys Li, Chin Ka-Lok, Isabella Chan, and Chung Suet-Ying.

Synopsis: Social worker Yanki (Catherine Chau) is in charge of a “Midnight Gymnasium” program that allows girls who don’t want to go home to have a safe place to exercise in the early hours. However, due to sudden management changes, the gymnasium is in danger of being shut down. In order to keep the program running, Yanki and new coach Jones (Ekin Cheng) assemble a hodgepodge team of troubled and troublesome teenage girls to participate in the Hong Kong Dodgeball Championship. The only way to keep the gymnasium is to work together and win!
