Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘Road to Boston’

Nova Media are bringing the 2023 South Korean biographical sports drama ‘Road to Boston’ (1947보스톤) to South Korean Blu-ray and DVD on July 12, 2024.

Written and directed by Kang Je-Gyu, the film tells the story of Korean athletes who participated in the Boston International Marathon in 1947, the first international marathon held since World War II. The cast includes Ha Jung-Woo, Im Si-Wan, Bae Sung-Woo, Jo A-Young, and Park Eun-Bin.

Synopsis: Marathon gold medalist Sohn Kee Chung (Ha Jung-Woo) stood at the top of the podium at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, but the Japanese national anthem was played at the ceremony. In 1947, runner Suh Yun Bok (Im Si-Wan) emerges as the next Sohn Kee Chung. With the help of Sohn as his coach, Suh participates in the Boston Marathon with the Korean Taegeukgi flag on his jersey.
