Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘Thank You, Sir’

Panorama are bringing the 1989 Hong Kong police drama ‘Thank You, Sir’ (壯志雄心) to Hong Kong Blu-ray and DVD on October 30, 2020.

Directed by , the film follows a group of trainees as they are put through the ringer at the now-defunct Royal Hong Kong Police Cadet School. The cast includes , , , , and Power Chan.

Synopsis: Reassigned from the Regional Crime Unit to Commandant of the Police Cadet Academy, Inspector Lee (Danny Lee) finds the task of molding the raw recruits into Hong Kong’s Finest every bit as challenging as keeping the peace in a crime-infested metropolis. The force has little hope for Lee’s ragtag bunch of officers-in-training, but the perceptive Inspector sees the potential within his young pupils. With a mix of tough love and paternal guidance, Lee works to bring out the best in the kids even as the academy is faced with the prospect of being dismantled.
