‘A Land Behind’ (内沙) is a 2025 Chinese drama written and directed by Yang Yishu.

The film follows a woman who goes to help out on a failing organic farm situated on an island covered with quicksand. The cast includes Zhang Dan, Zhao Chuan, Feng Guo, and Liu Zhilin.

Synopsis: Idealistic Mr. Tang runs an organic farm on an island covered with quicksand. Years of running the farm have brought him to a difficult situation and failure. Xiao Yu follows Mr. Tang to settle down on the organic farm. Her mother, who lives in seclusion in the mountains, comes down to stay on the farm, waiting for her daughter Xiao Yu to return home with her on the winter solstice. Her mother’s eyes make her daughter realise the unavoidable trauma in life. At this time, the farm is transforming its operations, and a storm has changed everyone. [© Far East Films]
