Trailer: ‘Migratory Bird’

‘Migratory Bird’ (候鸟) is a 2021 Chinese drama directed by Zhang Yunfang.

The film follows a young woman who attempts to fulfil her mother’s final wish after she is diagnosed with a terminal illness. The cast includes Heidi Wang, Angela Gao, Chen Duoyi, Zhu Huaixu, and Zhang Haiyan.

Synopsis: Shan Fei (Gao Liwen) works very hard at her job in the city, but it is far away from her hometown and she slowly begins to lose touch with her family. One day, she suddenly receives the news that her mother, Fang Wenzhi (Wang Ji), is suffering from a serious illness. Wenzhi has always wanted to see the sea, but has never been there. In order to help her wish come true, Shan Fei rents a car and the pair set out on one final journey together. [© Far East Films]
