‘The Killing Performance’ (戏杀) is a 2024 Chinese period mystery comedy written and directed by Niu Chaoyang.

The film follows a private detective who is held hostage inside a theatre where a murder occurred and forced to find the suspect within four hours or everyone will die. The cast includes Jia Bing, Yu Entai, Jiang Mengjie, Liu Hua, Yu Yang, Li Qian, Angel Niu, and Feng Xinyao.

Synopsis: A generation of famous actresses has been killed by a concealed gun! On the night of the seventh day of the seventh month, private detective Man Tian Fei and all the suspects are held hostage in a theatre. The mysterious Stripes, known as the “madman”, surrounds them with his men and forces Inspector Man to find the real culprit within four hours, or else he will kill everyone at the scene and sacrifice them to the souls of the beauties!
