‘The Mace’ (生死权杖) is a 2021 Chinese action drama written and directed by Wang Zhongyan.
The film revolves around a man who travels to Serbia in the hope of becoming a hero but winds up with a serious gambling debt and a daughter he knew nothing about. The cast includes Andrew Lin, Fei Weini, Yan Chang, and Dragan Mićanović.
Synopsis: Zhou Xiao (Andrew Lin) travelled to Belgrade in 1999 with the dream of becoming a heroic war correspondent. However, the cruelty of war not only destroyed the city, but also shattered Xiao’s dreams. After building up gambling debts, he is ordered by crime boss Milosevic (Dragan Micanovic) to steal the royal sceptre that is on display in the exhibition hall within nine days. But just as he is working on a plan, Xiao comes face to face with a young Chinese girl (Fei Weini) who claims to be his daughter… [© Far East Films]
