‘Friday, Funfair’ (这周五的游乐场) is a 2025 Chinese drama co-written and directed by Zeng Zhi.

The film follows a nurse dealing with her husband’s disappearance, her daughter’s surgery, and her mother’s dementia, clinging to Friday amusement park visits as her life crumbles. The cast includes Ying Ze, Kong Xiangyu, Elsa Lai, and Jim Liu.

Synopsis: Nurse Song Qian faces her husband’s sudden disappearance, her daughter Yuanyuan’s upcoming surgery, and her mother Old Zhang’s increasingly muddled thoughts. Her once orderly life begins to unravel, no longer calm. The endless daily grind consumes her, and the promise of taking her daughter to the amusement park on Fridays becomes the last thread she clings to ever more tightly… [© Far East Films]
