‘No Matter What, I Love You’ (恋に至る病) is a 2025 Japanese romantic thriller directed by Ryuichi Hiroki.
Based on the novel ‘Koi ni Itaru Yamai’ by Yuki Shasendo, the film tells the story of a quiet high school boy whose love for a popular classmate is shaken by suspicions of murder. The cast includes Kento Nagao, Anna Yamada, Kotaro Daigo, Tomo Nakai, and Tsubasa Nakagawa.
Synopsis: Miyamine, a reserved high school boy, falls deeply for Kei, the charismatic heartthrob adored by everyone at school. Their bond, sparked by a heartfelt first love, is sealed with a tender promise: Kei asks, “Will you protect me, no matter who I am?” Yet, as a string of mysterious deaths among their classmates casts a dark shadow, Miyamine begins to harbor unsettling suspicions about Kei. “Did you… kill someone for me?” he wonders, grappling with the chilling possibility.
