Blu-ray & 4K Ultra HD release: ‘Fist of Legend’

88 Films are bringing the 1994 Hong Kong martial arts film ‘Fist of Legend’ (精武英雄) to UK Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD on May 27, 2024.

Co-written and directed by , the film follows a Chinese martial artist as he investigates his old master’s death at the hands of the Imperial Japanese occupation forces. The cast includes , , , , , and .

Synopsis: Chen Zhen (Jet Li) is the matchless number-one student of China’s preeminent Kung Fu master, Fok Yun-Gap. Upon returning home to Shanghai after a period of study abroad, he discovers that his homeland has been devastated by a brutal Japanese occupation and that his once proud martial arts academy has fallen into disarray following the untimely demise of his beloved Master – allegedly in a challenge match with a member of the Japanese Black Dragon Clan. Disgusted by the official verdict on his teacher’s death, Chen embarks on a heroic and uncompromising one-man quest to uncover the true killer and restore dignity to his fallen people – a journey that will bring him into a deadly confrontation with Japan’s most formidable fighters.
