Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘Penguin Highway’

Anime Limited are bringing the animated Japanese science fiction mystery ‘Penguin Highway’ (ペンギン・ハイウェイ) to UK Blu-ray and DVD on March 9, 2020.
Based on a novel by Tomihiko Morimi and directed by Hiroyasu Ishida, the film follows a fourth-grader as he investigates the mysterious reason behind the sudden appearance of penguins in his village. The voice cast includes Kana Kita, Yu Aoi, Hidetoshi Nishijima, Megumi Han, Miki Fukui, and Naoto Takenaka.
Synopsis: Aoyama is a serious 10-year-old boy who records all of his day-to-day experiences in his notebook. One day in May, penguins suddenly appear in his home town, despite being located a long way from the sea. When Aoyama sees a young woman who works at a dentist’s office drop a soft drink can which inexplicably turns into a penguin, he decides to investigate and resolve the mystery behind these strange events.
