Blu-ray & DVD release: ‘Rob N Roll’

CN Entertainment are bringing the 2024 Hong Kong action comedy ‘Rob N Roll’ (臨時劫案) to Hong Kong Blu-ray and DVD on May 30, 2024.

Co-written and directed by Albert Mak, the film revolves around a robber who plans a heist only to be foiled by two dispirited, middle-aged men. The cast includes Aaron Kwok, Gordon Lam, Richie Ren, Maggie Cheung Ho-Yee, Lam Suet, and Lo Hoi-Pang.

Synopsis: Fai (Richie Ren) and Timid (Gordon Lam) are middle-aged buddies struggling with troubles. Fai runs a nursing home but rent has gone through the roof. He is heavily in debt and on the verge of bankruptcy but still refuses to give up. Timid is a slippery taxi driver who refuses admit defeat in arguments, but he’s the first to run away when there’s real trouble. Two unrelated cases of currency exchange shop robberies inspire Fai and Timid to plan their own heist. In the process, they meet a real robber, Mui (Aaron Kwok). Mui was originally a wrestler struggling to make a living until tragedy struck his family. In order to fulfill a promise to his late son, he comes to Hong Kong to pull off a robbery, but half the loot gets left in Timid’s taxi. While trying to acquire guns in the black market, Fai and Timid are targeted by a police detective (Maggie Cheung Ho-Yee), who mistakes them for the armed robbers. At that moment, Mui shows up looking for his money.
