88 Films are bringing the 1988 Hong Kong action comedy ‘The Inspector Wears Skirts’ (霸王花) to UK and US Blu-ray on December 4, 2023.
Directed by Wellson Chin, the film revolves around a crack squad of female police officers who have to prove themselves to their male counterparts while taking on some serious criminals. The cast includes Sibelle Hu, Cynthia Rothrock, Kara Hui, Regina Kent, and Ellen Chan.
Synopsis: Madame Wu (Sibelle Hu) has been assigned to the Hong Kong Police Academy to train female Banshee Squad Members, next door to the male Tiger Squad Members lead by Inspector Kan (Stanley Fung). After internal conflicts and courting mishaps, the squad members are ordered to band together to round up a gang of thieves at a convention.
