Trailer: ‘The Travelling Cat Chronicles’

‘The Travelling Cat Chronicles’ (旅猫リポート) is an upcoming live-action Japanese adaptation of the novel ‘Tabineko Ripoto’ by Hiro Arikawa.

Directed by Koichiro Miki, the story follows a young man who can no longer take care of his cat so goes in search of a new owner. The cast includes Sota Fukushi, Yuko Takeuchi, Alice Hirose, Takuro Ohno, and Ryosuke Yamamoto.

Synopsis: Satoru (Sota Fukushi) is a young man with a warm heart. He has a cat named Nana, but, due to unforeseen circumstances, he is unable to raise her anymore. And so, he sets out on a journey to find a person who will take care of Nana, meeting various people like his childhood friend and his first love, as well as revealing his secret…

‘The Travelling Cat Chronicles’ opens across Japan on October 26, 2018.
