‘Tsuyukusa’ (ツユクサ) is a 2022 Japanese drama directed by Hideyuki Hirayama.

The film revolves around a woman who believes herself to have had an unusual stroke of luck which gives her the courage to form a relationship with a new man in her life. The cast includes Satomi Kobayashi, Kami Hiraiwa, Taiyo Saito, Noriko Eguchi, and Hakushu Togetsuan.

Synopsis: Fumi lives in a small country town. She spends time relaxing with her friends from work, hangs out with her best friend who is a lot younger than her, and one day, she experiences an impossible event – a meteorite encounter. While she enjoys her daily life, Fumi’s sadness is sometimes hidden from view. There is a reason why she lives alone, and that reason is “a certain sorrow”, and she also has a premonition of love with a man she met through a whistle… [© Far East Films]
