With crisp animation and a more epic cinematic scope than the series, the film is a slick adventure packed with (occasionally predictable) twists and short bursts of action.

Another superbly constructed piece of cinema that really captures the imagination and warms the heart.

Even though it does get some of the backstory correct, it just seems far too muddled and mundane to please the game’s fanbase.

‘Whisper Of The Heart’ is a heartfelt and moving piece of cinema that expertly manages to cover everything from first love and friendship to family and ambition.
