4K UHD release: ‘The Project A Collection’

88 Films are bringing the Hong Kong martial arts action comedies ‘Project A’ (A計劃) and ‘Project A Part II’ (A計劃續集) to US 4K Ultra HD on July 9, 2024.

Starring as a swashbuckling turn-of-the-century coastguard, hot on the trail of cut-throat pirates, smugglers and free-wheeling police officers, Jackie Chan treats his audience to a fun-filled, action-packed motion-picture experience, which shows him at his most reckless and brilliant and has become a benchmark standard for other filmmakers to follow. Other cast members include Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Kwan Hoi-San, Dick Wei, Mars, Maggie Cheung, Johnny Wang Lung-Wei, Bill Tung, Rosamund Kwan, and Carina Lau.

Project A (1983)
In late 19th Century Hong Kong the British may rule the land, but the pirates rule the waters. Coast Guard officer Dragon Ma is determined to ensure that his beloved Coast Guard will not be made a fool of.

Project A Part II (1987)
Dragon Ma is transferred to be the police head of Sai Wan district and has to contend with a gangster kingpin, anti-Manchu revolutionaries, some runaway pirates, Manchu Loyalists and a corrupt police superintendent.
