Blu-ray release: ‘The Police Story Trilogy’

By   |  Jun 21, 2022

Eureka Entertainment are bringing the Hong Kong crime action comedy ‘Police Story’ (警察故事) and two of its sequels to UK Blu-ray on September 26, 2022.

Police Story (1985)
Chan Ka Kui (Jackie Chan) is a cop who’s assigned to guard beautiful witness Selina (Brigitte Lin), the girlfriend of evil drug kingpin Chu Tao (Chor Yuen). Selina’s presence causes some friction between Chan and his petulant girlfriend May (Maggie Cheung), but when the bad guys come calling, all that gets left behind.

Police Story 2 (1988)
Some mad bombers are threatening Hong Kong, so Chan Ka Kui (Jackie Chan) is put on the case to sniff out the bad guys. However, Chan simultaneously must contend with the return of Chu Tao (Chor Yuen), who’s back to annoy him with his smarmy attitude. And there’s Chan’s increasingly grumpy girlfriend May (Maggie Cheung), who’s a little sick and tired of playing second-fiddle to drug dealers and mad bombers.

Police Story 3: Supercop (1992)
After Chan Ka Kui’s (Jackie Chan) last two property damage-filled exploits, the Royal Hong Kong Police Force sends him to team up with Mainland cop Yang Chien-Hua (Michelle Yeoh) to track the movements of evil bad guy Panther (Yuen Wah). The two go undercover as Panther’s comrades, and their journey takes them all across Asia until their final stop in Malaysia, which features a run-in with Chan’s girlfriend May (Maggie Cheung).
