Cast announced for ‘Detective Dee: The Four Heavenly Kings’

Earlier this year, we reported the news that Tsui Hark will be returning to direct the third film in the ‘Detective Dee’ franchise, which has so far included ‘Detective Dee: Mystery of the Phantom Flame’ (2010) and ‘Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon’ (2013).

Now one of the film’s producers Shi Nansun has announced that the threequel, tentatively titled ‘Detective Dee: The Four Heavenly Kings’, will reunite the main cast of ‘Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon’ which include Mark Chao, Feng Shaofeng, Kenny Lin (Lin Gengxin) and Carina Lau. Two new actors will also be joining the cast.

Filming will start at the end of March.
