Warner Bros. and Toho to co-produce Takashi Miike’s ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’

Warner Bros. and Japan’s Toho will be co-producing Takashi Miike’s new film ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’, which is set for release in 2017.
The film is based on the best-selling manga of the same name by Hirohiko Araki. It is about the Joestar family that possesses unique powers against supernatural foes.
Kento Yamazaki (‘Your Lie in April’, ‘Wolf Girl and Black Prince’) and Ryunosuke Kamiki (‘Bakuman’, ‘As the Gods Will’) will star in the film.
In recent years, prolific director Miike has developed a strong interest in making live-action film adaptations of popular manga, with examples including:
