Dizzying, dazzling, and no doubt divisive, ‘Time and Tide’ has lost none of its verve or kinetic creativity and shows a Hong Kong master at his most creative and impulsive.

‘Tokyo Raiders’ therefore is a top-notch piece of entertainment that, with a little more care in certain departments, could have been even better.

Despite the clichés, ‘True Love’ still retains a strong entertainment value though. The ending is also powerful enough to make sure that it is not easily forgotten.

‘Versus’ delivers an extremely enjoyable action outing in a very stylish package. Please take note current Hollywood and Hong Kong filmmakers, this is the kind of action movie that you should be making!

What initially sounds like an interesting study of not only ignored youth, but also mental illness is quickly turned into an episodic drama without substance.
