Jackie Chan to receive honorary Academy Award

Congratulations to Jackie Chan, who will be awarded an honorary Academy Award for his extraordinary achievements in film.
The Hong Kong action superstar has starred in, written, choreographed, directed and produced numerous action movies in his film career that started at the age of eight. Many of his films, like ‘Police Story‘, ‘Armour of God‘, ‘Drunken Master‘ and ‘Project A‘, have become timeless action classics.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences praises Chan for “charming audiences with his dazzling athleticism, inventive stunt work and boundless charisma”.
Honorary Oscars will also be going to British editor Anne V. Coates, casting director Lynn Stalmaster and documentary maker Frederick Wiseman.
