Dante Lam and Eddie Peng to ‘The Rescue’
By Isaac Chambers | Mar 5, 2019
Following the massive commercial success of his last 2 films, ‘Operation Mekong’ and ‘Operation Red Sea’, director Dante Lam is now busy working on his latest blockbuster, titled ‘The Rescue’ and starring Eddie Peng (‘Unbeatable’, ‘Call Of Heroes’).
“There are no guns or martial-arts things,” he told Variety in an interview. “‘The Rescue’ is focused on courage, which I show through action. This has the energy of song and dance, or of sports films like ‘To the Fore.’”
‘The Rescue’ is currently filming in China and Mexico, with a number of on-set photos having just been released. The film is set for release during Chinese New Year in 2020.
