‘Hero Of The Beggars’ is not a patch on ‘Security Unlimited’ or the many other classic Michael Hui hits, but it still achieves its simple edict of entertaining the audience.

The real problem of ‘King Of Beggars’ is that there is a lack of focus on what should be the main strength of the production.

‘Love In The Time Of Twilight’ is the kind of film that starts awkwardly but increases in stature as the story continues.

This is the definitive Hong Kong action flick of the 80’s, easily on a par with ‘Police Story’ and should take pride of place in any fan’s collection.

There is little to redeem this movie, with drama non existent, plot structure meandering all over the place and awful comedy at inappropriate moments.

‘The Blue Jean Monster’ has a little soul and pathos lurking at the heart of its rampant Hong Kong chaos.

Despite the clichés, ‘True Love’ still retains a strong entertainment value though. The ending is also powerful enough to make sure that it is not easily forgotten.
