‘Jung_E’ is some solid grown-up sci-fi that while not always satisfying nevertheless gives one something to chew on in between all the ballistic action.

As a continued supporter of Hong Kong cinema, it gives me no pleasure to call this absurd mess the biggest waste of a big budget in recent memory.

‘Legendary’ overcomes any budgetary limitations to deliver a solid adventure that harkens back to the fun monster movies of yesteryear.

Much like ‘Last Flight’, the pace is just too static and there isn’t enough fun or silly action to recommend it to even B-movie aficionados.

Wong Jing manages to restrain his usual vulgarity and blend together some genuinely amusing comic scenes with an enviable amount of superior fight choreography.

While it may lack the tension of some of the other Kaiju films, ‘Mothra’ makes for a very refreshing entry into the genre that provides more of a sense of fun than ferocity.

‘Heroes Rising’ is a step in the right direction but it is still some way from being the ultimate ‘My Hero Academia’ movie.

While the animation and action are definitely well handled, the numerous anime movie clichés prevent it from ever progressing beyond anything other than filler.

Ultimately the overly serious tone and lack of energy telling the story make ‘Natural City’ a frustrating and hollow experience.

While it clearly still has a number of issues, ‘Ninja Apocalypse’ remains a fairly entertaining low-budget action romp that is worthy of at least one watch.

Taking the concept of multiple personalities and giving it a sci-fi twist, ‘Plurality’ is a confident and well shot attempt at copying the Hollywood gloss

‘Prisoners of the Ghostland’ unfortunately doesn’t deliver on its promise of uniting Cage and Sono in a tale of post-apocalyptic rescue.
