What may sound like an unpleasant crime thriller because of the concept and title is actually another of the comedy films that Chow Yun-Fat made earlier in his career.

‘Changing Partner’ has enough moments of genuine amusement to help paper over the cracks.

Though ‘Girl With The Diamond Slipper’ has a fine finale and some excellent physical comedy throughout, the decidedly flat middle section eats away at the viewer’s patience.

‘Hero Of The Beggars’ is not a patch on ‘Security Unlimited’ or the many other classic Michael Hui hits, but it still achieves its simple edict of entertaining the audience.

Although certain aspects of the series have changed in this third part, ‘Lucky Stars Go Places’ still proves to be an entertaining and undemanding film that fits well into this popular film series.

This is the definitive comedy horror, which coupled with Sammo Hung’s own ‘Encounter Of The Spooky Kind’ provide the two greatest examples of the genre, and therefore should not be missed.

This is possibly the second best of the true Mr. Vampire films and is a worthy purchase for all HK Horror fans.

With more cheese than a Mini Babybel factory, ‘The Flying Mr. B’ is about as dated as Hong Kong comedy gets.

There’s some well-developed comic moments that certainly raise the odd smile, while the atmosphere is infectious.

As with all of the ‘Pom Pom’ films, the emphasis is on comedy and specifically the interplay between Shum and Ng.

‘To Err Is Humane’ provides further proof of Sammo Hung’s versatility and makes a pleasant addition to his vast filmography.

In truth, this is not a great movie, with nothing new added to the age old “separated brothers” story and some bad special effects.
